Why twice a year?

ENERGY STAR recommends checking the cooling system in spring and the heating system in fall, and checking your filter monthly (ENERGY STAR maintenance checklist (opens in a new tab)). Here, the AC works for most of the year, and the heat pump that cools your house also heats it. Both seasons count.

We have used Freers services a few times and they have always been kind, professional, and knowledgeable. We will continue to be repeat customers when needed.

What a maintenance visit includes

  • Clean the filters
  • Inspect the components
  • Fine-tune performance before the season starts
  • Catch minor issues early, before they turn into breakdowns

What you get out of it

  • Fewer emergency repairs. Small problems get caught early.
  • A longer-lasting system. Regular care protects your investment.
  • Better airflow and comfort. A clean, tuned system keeps the house even.
  • Lower energy bills. A dirty system works harder for the same comfort.

Questions people ask about maintenance

How often should my system be serviced?

Twice a year: the AC in spring and the heat in fall. That’s what ENERGY STAR recommends, and it’s how our maintenance agreement works.

What do you check during a tune-up?

We clean the filters, inspect the components and fine-tune performance before each heating and cooling season, so minor issues get caught early.

How much is the maintenance agreement?

Call us or request a call back and we’ll explain the agreement and its cost for your system.

Is maintenance worth it on a newer system?

Yes. Clean coils, a clear drain line and correct refrigerant levels keep a new system running the way it was designed.
